Drum Lessons

The studio La Digue 18 proposes drum lessons taught by Jonathan Ancel Lowden.

Learn at your own speed.

From beginner to advanced level and for all ages, he will transmit his love and passion for the instrument with an approach tailored to each student's needs.

The teaching is done in a playful way with the rhythmic alphabet method. During the discovery of the instrument, we will also approach the study of sound, by developing tuning and listening techniques. Finally, you will have the opportunity to approach drum recording at the end of a year of study.

Jonathan

Drum teacher

Fond of music since his youngest age, Jonathan started with the violin and the piano at the Geneva conservatory. After quitting classical music as a teenager, he taught himself drums and followed several bands including Lyla on the Rocks in the South of France.

Back in Switzerland, he resumed his studies at the conservatory of Montreux in drums and in 2020, obtained a diploma in pre-professional section with a stage orientation at the ETM, Geneva. He continues his training in Switzerland and abroad by participating in masterclasses and drum camps as in 2017 with Benny Greb for a training on the sound of the drums.

He also accompanied Ana & The Black Mamba in the creation of their 2nd studio album and Joshua Howlett for his 1st EP. Lately, he participated in the recording of a single for Milla Seyfried and accompanies Marcel Baillifard on stage.
